Essential | Dickies Selvage Denim

Dickies Selvage Workwear Denim
Dickies workwear dates back  to 1922 when C.N. Williamson and E.E. “Colonel” Dickie began their career in the vehicle and harness business in Bryan, Texas. The business model eventually ended up changing in 1918 when the name changed to U.S. Overall Company and in 1922.  C. Don Williamson joined with his father and cousin and renamed it the Williamson-Dickie Manufacturing Co.  Today the company name shortened to Dickies, has grown to be the number one manufacturer of work apparel worldwide.
The design of these newly released jeans takes influence from the companies rich workwear past. The old union label has been used and the fabric is made of the finest selvage denim.

Essential | Pointer Brand Chore Coat

Pointer Brand Chore Coat's

As the fall season fiercely approaches, I can't help but think about warm clothing.  If you've had the same thought, and are looking for something different this season.  I would suggest taking a stroll on over to Pointer Brand's website to check some of their outerwear.  This made in USA brand, based in Bristol, Tennessee, produced under the L.C. King Manufacturing Co. has been making classic work wear since 1913 and continues to produce some of the most quality gear around.  For champions of performance, look to the Pointer Brand for value and quality.  Check it out!

Essential | Billy Reid x Levi's

Its been a long time coming, but I see that Levi's has really made a concerted effort to get back to basics.  As a company whose foundation/inception is deeply rooted in the workwear culture, Levi's spent a lot of time reinventing itself which ultimately pushed them further and further from what the company is good at, and that is making quality workwear.  Though much of their workwear is outsourced, I love the effort they have put into getting back to what they know, and that is workwear.  With their recent launch of Levi's workwear, and the collaborations with Filson and Billy Reid, Levi's is back on track to success.  Atleast if they continue down this path.

Here are a couple pieces from the Bill Reid x Levi's realeasing on Sept 10th.
