I first came about this document case/briefcase in Paris. The number of sightings of men carrying this case was as resounding as women carrying the Louis Vuitton Speedy here in NY - I mean it is everywhere. So naturally it peaked my interest being that I am an extremely curious person. Anyways, later that afternoon, my wife and I happen to stumble on the Longchamp flagship store and I couldn't resist the temptation. I had to find out more about this bag. I definitely knew it was by Longchamp since it had all the signature elements (synthetic body, leather flap, and gold hardware) but I had never seen this bag stateside. As we entered the store, a gentleman greeted us and asked if we were looking for anything in particular. I described the bag and the gentleman knew exactly what I was looking for, the "Le Pliage Docs - Modele Depose" is the bag. All neatly folded up like a pocket square, he unfolded the case and said here. He goes on to tell us that the bag is widely carried amongst Parisian men and has not made it stateside. This compact case unfolds to become a large catch-all able to hold a medium sized paperback novel, pda cellphone, wallet, keys, work file, Wall Street Jounal, Zagats guide, Moleskin Journal, Ipod, pen, and still with extra room.

The Good and the Bad:

• The best thing about this is for those of you living in small spaces, this bag takes up virtually no room, especially when folded up.
  
• The bad-because it fold up into practically nothing, it's extremely easy to misplace. A game of hide-and-seek anyone?
