Sol Moscot has been around ever since I can remember. As a child growing up in the city, Moscots on Orchard and Delancey was the establishment my parents trusted to get their glasses done, and I of course, now in my adulthood, find myself looking to Moscot for the same.
Sidenote: It's odd how we try so hard to not be like our parent's and yet we unconsciously find ourselves following along in their footsteps. Ironic?
Moscot's eyeglass frames are based on styles from the MOSCOT archives from the 1930's, 40's, 50's, 60's and 70's, retaining all of the authenticity of the original frame style right down to real glass lenses. The best thing of all, each frame is available as eyeglasses or sunglasses with or without prescription. Moscot is truly NYC history, so if your not in the market for glasses, head on down to their Orchard and Delancey St Museum.
